Environmental Management

Public awareness of environmental issues is growing. Due to public pressure, legal regulations and changes in the attitudes towards consumption, companies and communities now face challenges that can only be met with an efficient environmental management. Hence strategic decisions are vital. In view of these requirements, environmental management is more and more considered an essential and permanent part of company policies.

Currently GfBU-Zert disposes of a staff of certified environmental auditors for the following sectors (NACE Code WZ 2008):

• C 19 Manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products
• C 20 Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products
• C 21 Manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations
• C 26.11.9 Manufacture of other electronic components
• C 26.8 Manufacture of magnetic and optical media
• E 36 Water collection, treatment and supply
• E 37 Sewerage
• E 38.1 Waste collection
• E 38.2 Waste treatment and disposal
• Recycling, treatment, demolition or permanent storage of solid and liquid waste

In the above-mentioned sectors we conduct
- validations according to EMAS II (EG) No. 761/2001
- certifications according to ISO 14001
